ABOUTThe NSW Night Time Economy Councils’ Committee (NTECC) invites you to join an instructional session on the development and management of night time economies and entertainment precincts within NSW.Following last year’s successful Night Time Economy Councils’ Forum, this masterclass will provide council staff with valuable insights on the ways that Council can better engage with businesses to improve the NTE, particularly how Councils can enable and empower businesses to lead improvements in the NTE.The masterclass will feature insights from;Clayton Ries, Owner, Macquarie BistroBrett Leonard, Centre Manager, Westfield LiverpoolSkye Frost, Creative Place Facilitator – Arts & Culture, Port Macquarie Hastings CouncilDavid Borger, Western Sydney Director, Sydney Business ChamberJames Hulme, Director of Advocacy, The Committee for SydneyPROGRAMThe day will be broken into four sessions;Session 1 – Redefining ‘Night Time’ businesses Tools and methodologies for identifying existing assets and unearthing uncommon businesses that can take a lead in the NTESession 2 – Panel discussion with businesses How can businesses engage with businesses better?Session 3 – Workshop Using Liverpool as an example, the group will work through the steps discussed in the morning sessions to identify Liverpool’s strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and ways forward.Session 4 – Tour of Liverpool CBD (not compulsory)REGISTRATIONPlease register by Friday July 20thLimited places: To keep this workshop to a classroom size, places may be limited to one person per council. If the event is oversubscribed, registered participants may be contacted to gauge interest and relevancy for this particular masterclass. Participants will be confirmed 27 July. A further NTE masterclass is planned for 2018 on NTE planning and regulations.
